When people hear the phrase branding photography, they often picture a very specific type of session.

Maybe it's a realtor standing in front of a beautiful home. A team of women in coordinating outfits. An entrepreneur sitting at a desk with a laptop and a cup of coffee (ok that one IS in this branding session).

While those are all absolutely great uses for branding photography, they're far from the only ones. Your business doesn't have to fit into a specific box to benefit from professional images. And you'd be pretty surprised at what we can do in one hour in one location ... yes all these images were taken without ever getting in the car and heading across town.

This is Eric Margheim of Be There Immersive.

Branding Photography Should Look Like Your Brand

For Eric's session, we headed to downtown Columbia - with his office downtown it made perfect sense to utilize the office but also get outside to create images with a variety of textures and environments. It doesn't have to be complicated, to be effective. Plus, a single white wall in his office (plus my on-location studio setup) gave us the opportunity to create crisp studio looks all in that same day and time.

One person. One location. One hour. But never just ONE look....

One Shoot Doesn't Mean One Look - At all!

One of the biggest misses at a branding, or even headshot sessions is coming with only one look. You NEVER need to edit your self for our sessions. My goal is always to create a variety of looks when we're together - why not? You've taken the time to get ready, get outfits, pause your day let's make the most of it!

Creating Images for More Than Just Your Website

And don't forget these images are worthless if you're not using them!

Think about all the places your business needs to show up:

  • Your website
  • Social media
  • LinkedIn
  • Marketing materials
  • Press opportunities
  • Advertising
  • Email newsletters
  • Speaking engagements
  • Features and publications

Having a library of professional images means you're not scrambling to find something every time you need to post, promote, pitch, or share something about your business. Instead, you have intentional images ready to go.

Ready to Build Your Brand Image Library?

You don't need to fit the traditional idea of a “branding photography client” to book a branding session.

Sometimes, all you need is one hour, one location, and a plan (that's what I'm here for).

Let's create images you'll be excited to use all year long.
